Hello, my name is Lauren Savoie.

I’m a Kansas-based, Boston-hearted writer, editor, and video producer specializing in home, kitchen, and travel coverage. My work has appeared in Cook's Illustrated and Cook's Country magazines, in dozens of cookbooks, on two Emmy-nominated TV shows, and on CNN.com, Insider, Fodor's, Yahoo, LifeHacker, the Splendid Table, and more. Once in awhile I show up on TV to provide commentary for news programs including Good Morning America, CBS News, ABC News, and Fox News.

I’m currently deputy editor at Insider, where I serve on the editorial standards board and won the newsroom “rockstar” award in December 2021. Previously, I was senior editor at America's Test Kitchen, where I wrote and edited more than 300 in-depth, unbiased buying guides, reviewed more than 1,000 kitchen products, and was a two-time recipient of the “Leaders in Innovation” award. In May 2022, I attended Poynter’s prestigious Leadership Academy for Women in Media.
